SmartLoader uses data from sensors and stockpile simulations to provide loader operators with real-time feedback on where to select the next load from within the stockpile. The recommendations effectively manage the variability of incoming ore characteristics to increase plant yield.
The innovative, RACE-fueled SmartLoader system is expected to be rolled out at other steelmaking coal sites in 2022.
Thanks to real-time measurements, loading operators are able to optimize stockpile mining and drive more efficient operations.
