Ian K. Anderson

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer

Ian Anderson was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in 2024, with responsibility for driving Teck’s commercial success and margin optimization.

With over 20 years at Teck, Ian has extensive experience across commercial and operational functions. He has held key roles such as General Manager of both Line Creek and Fording River Operations, Vice President, Logistics and Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In his role, Ian is responsible for market and procurement strategies and performance, market and economic analysis and external partnerships to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
