Brock Gill

Senior Vice President, Operations, North America

Brock Gill was appointed Senior Vice President, Operations, North America in 2024. He is responsible for Teck’s operating and non-operating assets, as well as the growth portfolio within the North America business unit.

Mr. Gill joined Teck in 2023 as Vice President, Operations and Innovation, Base Metals, bringing more than two decades of global leadership experience in large-scale project development, operational transformation, and country management. His career spans complex mining jurisdictions including Mongolia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Greece, Türkiye and Canada.

Prior to joining Teck, Mr. Gill held senior roles at BHP, where he served as Vice President, Projects and led the design and construction of the multibillion-dollar Jansen potash project. He also held leadership positions at Ivanhoe Mines, including Vice President, DRC and Managing Director, Kamoa, and Deputy Project Director for the Oyu Tolgoi Phase 1 development.

Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Master of Laws in Water Governance and Conflict Resolution (with Distinction) from the University of Dundee.
