The Quintette project (100% Teck) is located in northeast British Columbia, approximately 20 kilometres south of the town of Tumbler Ridge. Quintette had previously operated for a period of nearly 18 years up until 2000. In June 2010 we initiated a feasibility study to re-open Quintette, which was completed in the third quarter of 2012. We submitted our Mines Act Permit Amendment application for Quintette in 2012 and expect to receive the permit approval in the first half of 2013. First coal production is expected in the first half of 2014 and by the fourth quarter of 2014, Quintette is expected to be producing at an annualized rate of 3 million tonnes.
