Galore Creek Project
The Galore Creek project is located in north western British Columbia, approximately 150 kilometres north-west of Stewart.
In August 2007, a 50/50 partnership was formed with NovaGold Resources Inc. to develop the Galore Creek deposit, one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper and gold deposits.
Due to escalating cost estimates and a longer-than-anticipated constructionschedule, development activities were suspended in November 2007.
In 2008, studies were initiated to re-evaluate and optimize the project by defining a more realistic and lower risk development alternative, including alternative plant site and tailings locations.
A small technical work program at Galore Creek is planned for 2014 to incorporate the results of recent drilling activity and engineering studies, with no significant field activity planned.
