On December 5, 2008, the EPA announced the availability of the draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for Red Dog, initiating a 60-day public comment period. This DSEIS, which supplements the 1984 EIS, evaluates the environmental effects associated with development of the Aqqaluk Deposit and new circumstances or information relevant to environmental concerns that have arisen since the 1984 EIS.” To read more, see
