Process/Production Engineer (Chemical/Metallurgical)

The operation at Trail, British Columbia is one of the world’s largest and most efficient integrated zinc and lead smelters.
Trail Operations is currently seeking a Process/Production Engineer with 4-10 years experience. Ideally, you will have a degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering with experience developing and implementing process improvements in operating plants.
You enjoy the many aspects of metallurgical practice and would appreciate the challenge offered by a complex integrated business that comprises over a dozen closely inter-dependent plants often employing advanced state-of-the-art technologies. You have a systematic approach to problem solving that is rooted in basic chemical and metallurgical principles. You enjoy the challenge of leading a variety of projects from inception to full scale implementation. Multidisciplinary skills would be an asset, as you will be challenged to lead a variety of strategic projects. Your strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are complemented by the ability to work cooperatively with the plant operating team.
